The Wine Club Director is responsible for leadership, strategy and collaboration of the Wine Club channel and team for the Jackson Family Wines portfolio. This role manages the Wine Club team across the organization and ensures that the Wine Club channel partners are working collaboratively across all key stakeholders, which included Estate Managers, E-Commerce Team, Brand Marketing, etc.  The Wine Club Director proactively and regularly reports on purchasing trends, customer feedback and business development opportunities, while making insightful recommendations for effective customer and sales strategies.  Looking for someone with drive, passion, a can-do attitude, and the ability to focus on the customer experience while driving our goals and initiatives for DTC Wine Club channel.



  • Leads and executes strategy for the customer experience throughout wine club channel in alignment with key stakeholders and cross-functional departments
  • Develops and implements membership and subscription experience strategies to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty to our wineries.
  • Strong focus on attracting and retaining high-value customers to our club channel.
  • Analyzes metrics to inform club channel strategy and shift club tactics accordingly to maximize club members’ annual value. 
  • Assists in development and oversight of annual departmental budgets and sales goals tracking progress against plan on a monthly basis.
  • Works with brand marketing teams, Estate Managers, and other key stakeholders to build out club shipment schedules for the upcoming 2+ years.  Ensures inventory is held for all shipments and works strategically to adjust plans if needed.
  • Works to optimize wine club shipment frequency and pricing by estate to maximize channel revenue opportunities and results.
  • Assists in managing shipment freight costs and evaluates shipment packaging to ensure shipments are showing up on time and representing brand image standards.
  • Works to develop and improve club acquisition, retention, and strategy programs across all channels.  Must be able to work collaboratively across channels.


REPORTING TO THIS POSITION:  Wine Club Managers, Assistant Wine Club Managers, and Wine Club Coordinators.





Essential Skills, Experience, and Education

  • 7 years Direct to Consumer experience including at least two of the following:
  • Retail store or tasting room management
  • Direct mail or email program management
  • Loyalty program management
  • Multi-brand management
  • Demonstrated strategic ability to effectively execute to plan and drive sales.
  • Proven management and leadership skills, ability to effectively train and manage a diverse staff, with diverse skill sets, in multiple locations.
  • Strong customer service skills with ability to implement change that anticipates and addresses customer questions, needs, and issues.
  • Prior experience with enterprise-based software programs such as JD Edwards, Salesforce Enterprise Suite, Commerce, CRM, Order Management, Etc.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
