OVERVIEW

As a UX Designer/Developer with Jackson Family Wines, you will combine the skills and expectations of a traditional coder and that of a modern designer, bridging the gap between design and technology all to enhance consumer satisfaction and enable conversion. Your focus will be to partner on both website development, email, and digital projects through the full design/development process, from early ideation, to wireframes and prototypes, and into active development until “go live”.  You will lead and partner with cross-functional teams from Brand, Digital Marketing, DTC, Creative and Web Services to build industry-leading, mobile-first designs that telling a story and convert consumers.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with marketing/digital and development teams to understand product and branding direction and develop appropriate and consistent design solutions
  • Work with project partners to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet user needs and project the business’ vision
  • Generate wireframes, low and high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and behavioral specifications
  • Produce design ideas and collaborate with teams to determine which ideas should move forward into detailed design and eventually production, based on usability testing, standard methodologies, and technical input
  • Iterate based on stakeholder feedback and deliver design requests to meet key timelines and milestones
  • Constantly review analytics and KPIs and conduct usability testing to offer suggestions for improvement and refine the user experience.
  • Research and showcase knowledge in industry/eCommerce trends and the latest technologies across mobile, desktop, and web
  • Help promote standard methodologies in design, usability, and accessibility within the design and engineering teams and across the enterprise
  • Manages multiple projects that span across a diverse collection of brands

 

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • An established portfolio of UI/UX case studies for web/mobile/digital experiences
  • Ability to facilitate collaborative UX design sessions
  • Passion for problem-solving, understanding user needs, and understanding business needs and requirements
  • Able to work well independently as well as part of a team
  • Good at communicating both verbally and in written form
  • Able to organize and prioritize workload while managing to deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS or BA required and minimum of 5+ years of experience of design and development experience including wireframing, storyboarding and custom coding
  • Experience designing/developing front and backend UX cross-platform solutions for multi-brand retail, CPG or wine industry preferred
  • Highly proficiency with CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, JS framework and best practices including, but not limited to Node, Nest, React, Angular, etc.
  • Comfortable and experience with working in an Agile environment
  • Understanding of cross-browser capability issues, mobile, web and accessibility standards
  • Understanding of usability testing and analysis
  • Familiar with front end development tools like Drupal and ticketing systems like GitHub
  • Proficiency in designing interfaces and building wireframes and prototypes using Sketch, Adobe XD
