We are seeking a motivated and high-achieving candidate to join the dynamic Santa Barbara Marketing team at Jackson Family Wines.  This position is an important role that works with Brand Management, Sales, Creative, Direct to Consumer and Production to execute the business and marketing initiatives for a luxury collection of wineries. 
Note:  This position will be based in Santa Barbara.

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Project and Process Management: as determined by brand plans, partner with brand leadership to manage project timelines and traffic execution, coordinated with relevant departments, agencies and vendors
  • Compile data from various systems; i.e. Business Objects, IRI, and consolidate information for senior leaders
  • Track monthly marketing budgets with core responsibilities of invoice coding, auditing, routing and balancing
  • Participate in the development of new marketing campaigns and collateral to support the assigned brands
  • Generate POS with Brand and Trade Marketing partners
  • Coordinate and execute events as needed, such as set-up, wine pouring, etc.
  • Develop and manage travel itineraries for winemakers
  • Pull and ship wine samples
  • Coordinate packaging update process with all relevant departments
  • Own master calendar of hospitality (trade only) visits, including house stays
  • Manage guest house including bookings, trade, appearances, stocking, scheduling cleaner, and experiences
  • Receive proper wine training to confidently host all levels of guests for tastings, tours, events and meals.
  • Work with hospitality requestors to craft customized experience, keep forms up to date, and teams informed
  • Work with Santa Barbara County Ambassador to develop and maintain hospitality materials including sample pricing sheets, experience descriptions, preferred vendors list – making experiences more turn-key ready
  • Maintain look, tone, and feel of trade experience at each property to meet each brand’s standards
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
  • Other tasks as assigned by leadershi
 

Background Required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any major (Marketing and/or Business preferred)
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience (internship included) in a marketing related position
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively build team relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with executional excellence
  • Comfort level in dealing and manipulating data
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on writing and editing
  • Passion to learn about the wine business
