Course Info:
May to August 2023 (About 12 weeks)
2-3 sections of General English (beginning to pre-intermediate levels)
1-2 sections of Winery English (intermediate level)
10-15 students per class
Each class meets in person 2x/week for 1 hour per day, typically in the mornings (8 AM – 12 PM). Curriculum and teaching materials are provided. Three meetings with the Program Manager are also required: one initial meeting to provide program overview + two check-in meetings throughout the courses.
Student Population: Adult learners whose first language is Spanish. They are working professionals in the wine industry, usually working from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. English classes are offered as part of their regular workday.
Locations: The company facility is in Soledad. Employees live and work in surrounding communities, including Soledad, Monterey, Salinas, and Gonzales.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate has a background in ESL education with at least one year of experience teaching ESL to adults. Candidates with experience teaching younger learners may also be considered if they have a college degree related to language education.
The ideal candidate can commit 12 hours per week with opportunities for ongoing teaching contracts throughout the year!
Pay Range:
$45.00 per hour
