Digital Content Specialist – Copywriter

This role will focus on developing digital content across multiple businesses, including dedicated ecommerce business: YourWineStore.com. This role will report to the Digital Marketing Manager and work to develop and execute an effective content strategy, and cultivate standards and best practices for content creation, distribution and maintenance.

 

Job Requirements

  • Write and review content for web, email, and social
  • Produce strong, well-written content aimed at engaging and converting target audiences
  • Ensure style, brand guidelines and tone of voice are reflected accurately
  • Switch tone and style depending on audience
  • Thoroughly proofread all copy to check it is factually and grammatically correct
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to implement content marketing strategies across assigned businesses
  • Understand and promote best practices for SEO copywriting
  • Write copy that helps boost a website's search engine ranking
  • Develop content to support sales goals

 

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of the ecommerce space including content strategies, marketing strategies, product promotion, consumer research and industry trends
  • Comfortable analyzing data to produce reports, drive decisions and optimize content based on goals
  • Experience with social media posting, writing and execution
  • Strong and current CMS, DAM and e-mail marketing systems knowledge – e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Drupel, etc.
  • Know your way around Google Ad Suite
  • Understanding of the wine industry: how wine is made, marketed, and sold

 

Background

  • Must have 3+ years digital copywriting experience
  • A natural storyteller, full of ideas and able to bring them to life with engaging content
  • Passionate about wine
  • Comfortable creating and managing content across multiple businesses
  • Can multi-task, prioritize and successfully meet several deadlines at once while maintaining attention to detail
  • Confident, friendly, motivated and driven
  • A good collaborator, with strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to self-manage during and proactively raise issues/concerns to the team
  • Good project management skills, and has a desire to own a project from beginning to end
  • Takes pride in their work
