We are seeking a motivated and high-achieving Brand Marketing Manager candidate to join the dynamic International Marketing team at Jackson Family Wines.  The Brand Marketing Manager position is an important leadership role that partners with the Brand leadership team to develop and execute the business and marketing strategies for a collection of wineries.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manages P&L of assigned businesses/brands proactively, driving strategies and tactics leading to sequential revenue and contribution growth
  • Leads development of brand positioning, growth strategy and marketing plans/programs for assigned brands
  • Collaborates across several functions – winemaking, supply chain, sales, national accounts, finance, communications – to synthesize strategic and annual plans and maximize profitability
  • Leads development and execution of brand plans to include detailed strategic objectives, programs and propositions for the brands that optimize brand positioning and result in volume and distribution growth and increased profitability
  • Defines key channel growth opportunities and develops plans that maximize brand opportunities accordingly; Develops in-market responses to competitive activity and launches; Analyzes and develops plans against new and relevant consumer target opportunities; Effectively oversees brand budgets, managing expenditures appropriately
  • Frequent presentations to sales, senior management, and ownership to secure approval for large and small initiatives
  • Working closely with sales to anticipate market trends and deliver against key opportunities
  • Maintains positive, constructive relationships and communications with internal team members and outside agency partners
  • Trend analysis, prediction, and ability to recommend changes in courses of action
  • Spends time at winery locations (where applicable), developing relationships with direct-to-consumer (DTC) and production personnel and supporting winery site initiatives to ensure alignment with business and communication

 Background Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, finance or related; MBA strongly preferred
  • 6+ years of progressive experience managing and growing brands
  • Luxury wine marketing experience preferred
  • 3+ years of direct P&L management and responsibility
  • 3+ years of managing and developing direct reports
  • Strong and consistent track record of successful brand growth across multiple brands and/or business units
  • Entrepreneurial in thinking with strong sense of urgency; works well in fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, advanced problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated people management experience; ability to develop and lead a team of marketing professionals
  • Strong interpersonal and business communication skills
  • Adaptable and flexible and can operate in a fast-paced entrepreneurial culture
  • Experience in building strategic business plans that drive profitable growth
  • Ability to develop and execute multi-channel brand marketing programs
  • Track record of complex project management using internal and external resources
  • Advanced understanding of various pricing strategies across multiple markets and channels
  • Advanced presentation development and delivery experience
  • Solid understanding of and experience with social media marketing (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc)
  • Good understanding of wine industry media relations
  • Strong writing and editing
  • Strong PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
