Facility Winemaker




Scope of Position:


Under the general direction of the Facility Winemaker, this position will provide winemaking, technical and supervisory support to the winemaking team. Specific duties of this position include, but are not limited to cellar, lab and winemaking operations and will support the Winemaker and Assistant Winemaker with work orders, lab planning and inventory control.



Essential Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Quality control management of the barrel cellar and tanks
  • Train and supervise cellar lab crews,
  • Setup and participate in experiments, collect data and provide summary
  • Arrange and participate in sensory analysis, blending, fining and quality control
  • Asist with work order generation, data entry and management
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor




This position requires a BS degree in Enology, Fermentation Science, Viticulture or a related field and a minimum of 2-3 years related wine production experience. A qualified candidate will be organized; detail-oriented and possess excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization is essential. Advanced computer skills in Word and Excel are required. Previous supervisory experience and bilingual skills in Spanish are preferred. This position requires the abilities to stand for long periods of time, occasionally reach with hands and arms, and occasionally to sit, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. is required.
