The SharePoint Administrator role is responsible for supporting Jackson Family Wines’ business initiatives both domestically and internationally.  This person will be a change agent and play a key role in transforming Jackson Family Wines’ collaboration platforms such as SharePoint Online and Digital Asset Management.  A key challenge for this role is to be an evangelist of both of these platforms to gain momentum, acceptance and drive adoption.


  • Configures, administers, and supports SharePoint Online on company’s Office 365 platform
  • Develops, maintains, and support Nintex and SharePoint workflows
  • Deploys internally developed and third-party SharePoint solution packages
  • Configures all service applications including Search, Metadata, and User Profile Synchronization
  • Configures, assigns, and maintains permission levels for all users of SharePoint site collections as well as configuring anonymous access when required
  • General understanding of User/Group/Role based permission management in software systems and single sign on (SSO) methodologies.
  • Understanding of Power BI
  • Trains and supports business users in their day to day involvement in SharePoint
  • Creates and leads training of the applications assigned
  • Documents SharePoint configuration and architecture
  • Reviews and monitors usage reports
  • Coordinates with internal and external technical resources to build, deploy, upgrade and support of enterprise business applications
  • Align business requirements with technical systems implementations under supervision from senior technical staff
  • Prepares technical reports, process documentation, reports and logs as required for system usability and support
  • Creates and performs test plans on new and/or existing applications
  • Maintains technical proficiency and knowledge related to system architecture, application and database trends
  • Participates in the development and maintenance of the Support Policies and Procedures within guidelines provided by the IT management team
  • Works closely and cooperatively with other team members to assure consistency and standardization throughout the enterprise applications


Essential Skills, Experience, and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from four year college or university in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred
  • 3+ years previous experience in SharePoint administration (SharePoint Online Preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint 2013 and/or SharePoint Online
  • Knowledge of PowerShell
  • Experience working with InfoPath and/or Nintex workflow in both development and support roles
  • Experience with business applications, portals, and team collaboration/social sites on Microsoft SharePoint Online
  • Basic understanding of web technologies: JavaScript, CSS
  • Knowledge of Configuration of Business Connectivity Services for connecting to a SQL database or a WCF service is preferred
  • Working knowledge of SQL, such as tables, queries, triggers, views, and stored procedures
  • Knowledge of information security and systems administration
  • Experience working with application vendors and support
  • Experience with source control or issue tracking software a plus
  • Must be able to perform duties with minimum supervision
  • Must be an excellent communicator, verbal and written, with strong presentation skills
  • Experience in Digital Asset Management area desired but not required
  • Must be able to multi-task, manage time constraints, and meet deadlines;
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills required.  Must be able to present in front of large number of audience.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with team members
  • Demonstrate a calm, rational and organized approach to tasks when under pressure
