POSITION SUMMARY:

The International Marketing and Business Development Coordinator will report to the International Marketing Assistant Manager and will support both the Assistant Manager and SVP of the team in all aspects of planning and business development for the international sales and marketing department.  The position will require the Planner to work independently and will also manage key department projects falling outside of their daily responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

  • Manage trade visits and education trips (Harvest Symposiums) – events/winery visits, wine consolidations, hotel booking, transportation
  • Manage communication with brand marketing, winemaking and hospitality in developing trade visit itinerary; development of travel itineraries, winemaker visits, etc.
  • Global Trade Event Management: Includes planning and insuring successful execution of international trade shows – booth set-up and design, wine shipment consolidation (liaise with customer services)
  • Develops, manages and tracks department budget to include invoice coding, auditing, routing, accruals and reporting
  • Liaison with and provides communication to sales regarding program elements, etc.
  • Develop and manage daily updates of reports onto Dropbox
  • Ordering and shipping wine samples
  • Update/maintain database for various distributor product registration
  • Mange global wine competition registration
  • Management of POS and fulfillment for department
  • Manage wine availability tracking and reporting
  • Assist in creation of marketing materials and sales collateral

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Essential Skills, Experience, and Education 

  • Previous business administration or related experience (at least 2 years)
  • Understanding of business development in international wine markets
  • Solid wine knowledge and appreciation
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Budget development and tracking
  • Analysis and reporting
  • Time management & prioritization
  • Understanding of wine production & appreciation
  • Superior level of skill using Excel, Powerpoint, word, etc.
  • Similar position at wine or consumer goods company
  • HTML programming and ability to update websites
