The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and high-achieving ABM candidate to join the dynamic Classics and Estates Division at Jackson Family Wines.  The ABM position is an important leadership role that partners with the Brand manager to develop and execute the business and marketing strategies for a collection of wineries.  The senior management of the Classics and Estates division has a unique mix of CPG and luxury wine experience in addition to MBA degrees from top 20 business schools.

 

Jackson Family Wines based in Santa Rosa, CA is a family-owned collection of over 50 wineries from throughout the world.  Jackson Family Wines is the most critically acclaimed wine company in the world receiving 90+ point scores on over 800 of its wines during the past year all sourced from the world’s best wine regions.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Brand Manager to develop long-term and annual business and marketing plan
  • Manage components of the P&L: Marketing budget, sales forecast, COGS
  • Lead and execute initiatives including event marketing, digital marketing, trade/media/consumer tastings and direct to consumer marketing
  • Partner with Sales to develop effective trade tools to drive distribution and velocity
  • Lead creative development and execution of packaging and consumer/trade materials
  • Track, analyze and report on monthly business results
  • Wine knowledge and appreciation
  • Partner with winemaking to develop and launch new products
  • Lead cross-functional teams
  • Identify and recommend business-building initiatives to senior management

 

Background Required:

  • Education: College degree; MBA preferred
  • 3-4 years of Brand Management (CPG) or consulting experience
  • Strong and consistent track record of driving business results
  • Previous P&L management experience
  • Project management experience
  • Strategic Planning knowledge
  • Track record of creative program development and execution
  • Advanced understanding of various pricing strategies across multiple markets and channels
  • Digital and Social Networking competence
  • Ability to create, identify and leverage consumer insights (IRI, internal sales, demographics, consumer attitudes, usage)
  • Computer literate: (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project & Outlook)
